If I looked like a cute, fluffy alien, maybe people would be more sympathetic.

And that is the worst part, Beck. That's how you take the comment of me saying you're not a good person. You think of a way to manipulate people. That's just what you do.

[Subconciously, he may just not think he can simply be himself without any cover or mask or act.]

You call it manipulation. I call it giving the people what they want to see.

[What they want? David glowers.]

You know what people want? Legitimate heroes who save them because it's the right thing to do, not because it makes them look good. Do you think Captain America does it to get his name out there? Do you think Peter does? It's manipulation, Quentin. In the worst way. It makes you quite likely to be a violent super villain one day.

[His reaction is odd. It's almost as if he's silently and seriously considering that option for a moment. Then there's a frown as he says.]

All I really want is for people to take me and my work seriously. I want them to really pay attention.

[Heroics had only been a means to an end. People paid attention to heroes - at least that's the impression he got out of showy heroes like Iron Man. It wasn't the best example and of course there's more to Tony than just his blunt attitude.]

Happy with it? No. Use it as an excuse to cause physical and mental harm to other people? Also no. I've said it once, I'll say it again. Be an actual hero. You'll actually be respected.

Marco has broken into my home and spied on me constantly. He's the one you should be calling bad.

As for Peter, I contacted him the instant we got out of the crisis in Jeopardy and we've met up and have made arrangements. He's more understanding than you are.
