I'm glad you're coming into a level of peace with the way you've gained powers. That said, turns out you're still in luck.

I spent a good while as a power trainer for mutants in my world. I'd be very happy to help you figure out a method of control, and to practice with them.

You're worried I'm going to judge you for your powers, and the potential risk they could pose Bart, aren't you? You didn't get all shifty until I mentioned knowing him.

Let's make this really clear: if you don't want to hurt people, then I can help you. If you're worried I'm going to judge you for being someone 'dangerous' around my friend, don't. You are looking for a way to control yourself if I'm reading this properly, which means I respect what you're trying to do. And I'm even more hopeful I can help you, for your sake and that of my friends.

[ those are kind words. They are. But the problem is that Kaneki is a cannibal. It's not power but biology, and something he has to do nonetheless; He is someone who eats people and someone who shouldn't be living with other people. He isn't afraid of being judged, he is afraid of being killed or locked up.

He should have known this would happen. But somehow he thought he could do it, he thought it would be fine as long he wasn't found, he thought he could pretend to be normal.

But Kaneki can't because he isn't.]

You wouldn't be able to hurt him even if you tried, trust me on that. And I'm not really happy with the statement 'you'll fix it'.

Please, let me help. Or let me try to. There are a lot of people who I haven't been able to help before, and some I've tried to. One of my best friends growing up, he had a power he was scared of too. He went by Wither. Whatever he touched something biological, be it animal or vegetable, or even just wood, it degraded.

I never stood by him properly, to help him grow and find ways to control his own powers so he could touch people. So he could know the world. So he could be happy. He died because no one was there to help teach him, and a really evil woman manipulated him because of that. I've resolved since then to do what I can to help people Especially those who are in positions they don't want to be in.

Please, let me try to help you too.

[ here he goes, he said it. He knows that Venom is not shy about it and Eddie kind of goes along with the whole thing of "We only eat bad people". But it doesn't matter to Kaneki, because he has no justification for it other than "I have to".

And it's horrible. To Kaneki, it's one of the most horrendous things he has to do. Which is why he knows he shouldn't be living with humans in first place.

But in the end, his abilities isn't about how they hurt him, but about how he hurts others. And can not stop it.]

My first suggestion is this: if you haven't met him yet, I've seen some network posts by a man named Eddie Brock, and a creature called Venom. While I don't approve of Venom himself, Eddie will possibly be good emotional support for this.

Next, do you know if you are capable of processing plant matter, and whether other meats are sufficient for your dietary needs? If that is possible already, then a suppression device might help curb any impulses you have and help you with a more 'traditional human' diet.

You said you want to be human, are you non-human now? Was this a change in coming here, or from your own world?

All of this will be needed to start looking into how to help you.

[ the thing about Eddie is that... Well he is seemingly okay with all of it while Kaneki is not.

But all these questions leave Kaneki feelinf extremely weird. He doesn't talk about his diet, what he is. He can't. So being asked all those questions like this feels strange.

He admitted to it because he wanted David to understand why Kaneki is pulling away so desperately. ]

Yes. In fact, I feel it's even MORE important to try. I feel honor bound actually.

Here's a hard truth for a hard truth. I had a chance to stop a very bad guy who was hurting, killing, people around him. And was too foolish not only to take it, but to realize that he was only hurting himself. I can't stand by and run the risk of doing that again, not when there is a chance I can help.

I'm a half humam. I was born human, but I was turned into something else.

There is nothing I can eat anymore. They say it's because ghouls don't have enzymes to digest normal food, and so that makes us very sick, just like poison.

Lack the enzymes huh? That's a different approach to take to it as well. But if it's going to make you sick, like poison, then we're going to have to be more careful about a lot of this.

If it's alright with you, there's someone that might be really important to bring in on this. A friend of mine named Josh. If I can't do this with tech, he might be able to do it.

Granted if you somehow were able to get your hands on him and hurt him, I'll destroy you. But you don't want to hurt people, so we should be fine.

Kaneki isn't surprised by it, but it's still a wake up call to his own reality, which he should never forget ]

[ Kaneki doesn't want to hurt anyone and... well, he doesn't want to be killed. Living with a human is not something he should be doing, and he knows that; it's risky and dangerous. This was a good wake up call to that as well. ]
