Only one that comes close is other me and I totally have him beat.

[After a few more moments, Bobby lets out a whistle and lowers his arms.]

Ta da!

[He turns back to his flesh and blood form as he turns to face David, flashing his usual goofy grin.]

All ready for some skating. Should last the whole day too.

Do you, though? I mean, he has age and age typically means experience.

[He does smile and stand once more, to look at Bobby.]

By all means, help a brother out so he can show off some moves before everyone else notices your work.

He's too rusty. Hasn't been practicing as much as I have.

[It makes sense to him. When David asks for help, Bobby offers a hand.]

Come here then and lift a foot. Only take me a few seconds to whip up some Iceman-special skates.

Yeah, he is a little bit of a stick in the mud.

[He does move forward, grabbing Bobby's hand for balance as he stands on the ice and lifts first one foot and then the other for literal ice skates.]

[Bobby hums a little more as he works on the skates, careful to keep the ice outside the shoes but firmly attached to the bottoms. Nothing that will ruin them or leave David with soggy socks later of course. And soon enough, he grins when finished.]

Your very own pair of ice skates.

And it's nice.

[He smiles and sets both feet down. And he doesn't even have anything short of grace. With a brief push off he's moving, quick and easy over the ice. There's clear form there, someone who knows what he's doing. He starts just by getting a feel of things before picking up speed.]

Give me a chance, okay? Going to show you a thing or two.

[Bobby whistles as David skates off. He slips his hands into his pockets as he watches, a smile still on his face.]

Sure, let's see what you can do.

Watch close.

[He glides easily over the ice, building up speed before he goes through a few spins and how he has the flexibility for the Biellmann spin as a guy his size is definitely a question. Soon he's moving through what almost seems like a routine. It's not flawless, not even fully up to competition standards because he hasn't practiced in years. But he manages some jumps and lands them without hurting himself. Not as many rotations as he'd want, not flawless, but he's clearly experienced by the time he comes to a stop in front of Bobby with a bow. ]

[Nodding, Bobby leans back to watch. He wasn't sure what he was expecting but the spins and jumps are a surprise. Bobby whistles after a particularly impressive move. When David stops and bows, Bobby applauds.]

Damn, that was really good!

[David smiles widely at that appreciation.]

I haven't had a chance to practice in a long time. By high school I was too big to compete and was considering hockey instead. But I just like gliding.

Come join me?

See, I have to wonder if you're lying there because that was great.

[He makes some skates for himself the same way he did for David. Once he's satisfied with them, Bobby glides out onto the ice.]

Did you try hockey out? I heard there's been some good games of it here at the school.

There wasn't a chance to try out for the team before I came here. Since getting here it hasn't seemed fair.

Forget fair.

[Bobby skates in a few circles, just enjoying the movement.]

Go for fun!

I am pretty sure we had a conversation last night about sticks and mud and me.

[He does glide easily after Bobby, works strong and even pushes.]

I’ve been called stodgy. At my age.

And I believe I told you I'd help you stop being so stodgy. Or I would have. Either way, I am now!

[Bobby spins about, skating backwards so he can point at David.]

I'm going to organize a hockey match here and you're going to kick some ass during it.

[David laughs and shakes his head.]

You're assuming I'm any good at hockey. Might turn out that I'm terrible at it. That knowledge of a thing isn't the same as skill.

[iceman_begins]

[Bobby's grin turns devious and he holds up a finger dramatically.]

That is only if your metric for kicking ass is winning the game. But that is not the case this time!

[A pause for a little spin. He has to windmill his arms a bit to keep from falling but maintains composure.]

You will kick the most ass by having as much fun as possible playing the game.

[David glides close, hands going to Bobby's hip and shoulder to help stabilize him.]

I'm happy just with this, Bobby. This is fun.

[iceman_begins]

[Leaning into the touch, Bobby gives a quick nod of thanks.]

Well, let's keep doing this then. Make it as fun as possible.

You're the ice champion. What sort of fun do you want?

[David smirks as he pushes off and skates away from Bobby, backwards. Still confident and still happy. This was really all he'd wanted.]

[Bobby just laughs, skating after David with a grin.]]

Any kind, man. We could race or I could put some targets up for us to throw snowballs at or maybe make some ramps for tricks.

[And if he just wants to skate around?]

If that's what you want. Right now, I'm just... loving this.

Then let's keep doing this.

[Bobby laughs, content to skate around. He's fine with enjoy a nice trip around his ice rink.]

You wouldn't believe how mad the Professor was when I did this to that old fountain that used to be in front of the school.

Yeah, I can believe. Xavier was a bit stuffy.

[Well, Bobby doesn't even need to laugh over it all alone. He reaches out, grabbing at Bobby's arm.]
