Seeing as I did it to not be boring, underlines my point. Punctuates it. Gives it a shouty sorta interrobang! Even chose tequila.
[Because it is supposed to get you drunk sooner. But with the downhill coming David tightens his grip on Bobby, and he laughs on the way down. His head is spinning, yes, and he's feeling bad for himself. About himself. Whatever. But that? That was fun.]
[It wasn't. It definitely isn't usually. But if you're in for a penny, you're in for a pound in his books.]
What is going to be new and spontaneous to me? Too many life experiences back there. The world is... It's boring with all I picked up. I've collectively seen too many movies to enjoy them anymore. I have 'played' most sports known to man, and frankly experiencing them myself doesn't make them any more interesting.
There's always going to be more movies. And what about stuff you personally haven't done? Isn't doing something yourself a lot different than memories put in your head? I mean Jean put how to fly a plane in my head but actually sitting there at the controls is way different.
[He frowns slightly.]
What about just doing something you don't normally do or something people wouldn't expect? And don't worry about sports, they suck except for the eye candy. And mutant ball. Mutant ball is always fun.
Fuck I don't want to think about flying. Do you know how many planes I've stolen? And crashed? Pass.
[It's complicated. It's really complicated. Figuring out what the difference will be between knowledge and first hand experience has been interesting.]
Sometimes it's different, doing it myself. Why I tried drinking. And I can't play mutant ball.
[He's barely a mutant. He's in a weird position, right?]
Trying new things to try and feel different. Haven't found a lot that is different enough. Lot to try. Not a lot of chance to try things.
Okay, so I call you if I need to steal a plane but not fly it. Good to know.
[He teases a bit to lighten the mood.]
Anyone can play mutant ball because mutant describes the game more than the players. And good first step! Should think of new things to try.
[He slows down just a little as they get closer to the school, debating where exactly he wants to take David. Front door is probably bad and it would take awhile to sneak into the underground entrances. Eventually he decides to just start heading for his room's window.]
[Bobby slows the sliding to a more careful speed as they approach the school proper, attaching the slide to the side of the building when close enough. He frowns the more David speaks though.]
Sounding a hell of a lot like someone else I know. Being team leader doesn't mean you have to stop being a person.
[He pauses to open up his window and turns back to David.]
[Don't tell him that, Bobby. Being team leader is all he has anymore. It's what makes him actually special here. If he doesn't do that, he might as well not be here anymore. But with the window opened he nods and he's willing to move to it to squirm through. And tumble once he's over the frame. Whoops. There is now a David sprawled on Bobby's floor. Great choice. Great life choices here indeed.]
[Still, he isn't going to deny the hand offering to help him up. In fact, he's happy to get helped to his feet, even if most of his weight ends up leaning against Bobby.]
[Bobby gives an 'oof' when he gets that weight on him, not expecting it so soon. Thankfully they stay upright. He pauses as he considers where to take David next and eventually decides closer is better than dragging him through the school. So he instead tries to direct David to sit down on the edge of his bed.]
Hey, I was already out. A nosy redheaded telepath took care of that.
[There's a light chuckle in his voice, but he nods his agreement to the pants thing. Which of course means him unbuttoning them and working on trying to squirm out of them on his own.]
[Bobby frowns but still moves to help David by tugging his pants. He's trying not to look but can't help but sneak some peeks at David's underwear choice and how he looks in them.]
[They're boring because David is boring. Black boxer briefs that fight tight against his skin. Tight enough to take some things out of the realm of the imagination.]
[Bobby wouldn't call any of it boring. He's going to keep that mental image for later. Standing, Bobby drapes David's pants over the back of his desk chair.]
Well you're laying on the blanket. I can go get the other stuff though.
[Blankets. Right. It takes some more squirming, but soon David's under the blankets. he'll feel bad about taking over Bobby's bed later. And he will feel bad.]
[Listen, David is not the biggest fan of puns. Even though, you know, he's a master of them. Because of course he is. He does nod off once Bobby is gone, though, waking only when the other mutant speaks up.]

3/4/19 06:28 (UTC)[Windows, fun. David leans a bit more heavily against Bobby.]
There are expectations. I'm supposed to be there. Team leader. Can't just go try new things. Gotta be a good example.

5/4/19 22:23 (UTC)Just don't throw up on my bed.
[Mostly joking. Either way, he makes sure David is stable before slipping off the bed to start helping him out of his shoes.]
Let's get you comfortable so you can sleep this off.

5/4/19 22:26 (UTC)[What? It's a good point. But he does let Bobby do it, because he knows if he leans over he'll fall.]

I'm really not trying to take advantage of someone who's drunk. But...you probably would be more comfortable without your pants on...

Be right back.

Still awake?

Blessing on your heads. Both of them.
