[Skating to a halt similarly to a hockey player, Bobby nods and flashes a grin.]

Sure, I could go for some lessons. At least how to do the basics like those jumps you were doing before. Promise I'll even practice.

You're light, so you should probably be able to do some of the jumps. Just not with a ton of spins. If you find a small enough girl I can even teach you lifts. I mean, I could lift you, but that's probably not something you want.

[He chuckles a bit, doing a lazy spin.]

[He was happy spending the rest of the morning with David even if he didn't learn a ton.]

Probably better to have them not be completely private lessons. You’ll need a partner to work with after all.

[Because no way was Bobby lifting David.]

A foolish man might think you were trying to get me alone, Bobby. As it is, I know you want to avoid embarrassment over people seeing you fall on your ass.

[Surely he is allowed to tease he guy who rescued him from looking a fool.]

[Bobby flashes his usual goofy grin.]

Hey, already had you in my bed.

[He teases right back, skating closer.]

But I'm saving us both embarrassment. For now, how about we keep having fun though?

[David isn’t blushing. At all. He isn’t embarrassed or flustered.]

I mean, the ice is starting to fill up. I can’t do anything fancy anymore.

Just run me through the basics. Or we could just skate around and goof off. I'm good with either.

Well, okay. In a way it’s all about physics, the spins that is. Preservation of angular momentum. So, you ever spin on skates before?

On skates? Not really. At least not like what you were doing before.

I am not entirely sure the physics will hold up with your ice form. But we can try. Here, take my hand. We’ll try some simple spins by treating it like a spin with dancing.

We could always practice in ice form sometime.

[Its Bobby's turn to blush when dancing is mentioned. It doesn't stop him from taking David's hand though.]

Sorry in advance, I'm not a very good dancer.

I could yeah you that too, but it’s hard to learn to lead when your instructor is taller than you. Now, move your weight to the ball of your foot, okay? It wants to rock forward. I’ll help you stay standing.

[He doesn’t comment on the blush. It would be rude.]

Its not like you're that much taller.

[Bobby nods though, following David's instructions. He rolls his weight onto the balls of his feet.]

Here's hoping we both don't end up on our asses.

Tall enough that you wound up as little spoon.

[The reminder is a playful whisper. But he doesn’t even smile. Just keeps a perfectly straight face as he nods and reaches their joined hands up to help move Bobby into the spin. You have to get a feel for the spin before you can get into interesting ones.]

Hey, that's got nothing to do with height.

[Bobby's pouting but blushing. Before he can say more, they're spinning and Bobby is making a little surprised sound. He stays on his feet and keeps up with the spin though, moving pretty smoothly into that much at least.]

I am sure it doesn’t. I’d said I had been told I just do that, but I haven’t woken up in anyone’s bed before.

[He waits until Bobby seems comfortable with the spin before sliding away from it himself.]

Keep doing that for a bit. The dizzy will pass.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that sounded like asking to wake up in my bed again to see what happens.

[Bobby spins a few more rotations before coming to a stop.]

Hey, that's nothing for dizzy. Some of the Original Danger Room traps spun me more than that.

[He's still wobbling a little though.]

I... that wasn’t...

[Well now he was a bit nervous, his gaze anywhere but at Bobby. That wasn’t what he’d meant but he felt awkward now. It really did sound like that, didn’t it?]

So, uh, the idea is to start slow, getting into the position you need with your arms wide. When you pull them in you pick up a lot more speed. Physics.

[Bobby at least leaves it there rather than teasing more. Idly skating a little back and forth, Bobby tilts his head to the side.]

That's a real thing, huh? I thought it was just Hank trying to make me look goofy on my slide. And putting my arms back out will slow me back down after I speed up?

Physics. It works, bitches. Here. Watch.

[He backs up a bit. Then he starts spinning, arms out. Nice and slow. Keeps one foot up so it clearly isn’t adding more speed, he pulls his arms slowly up and over his head, and the tighter he is, the faster he spins. And as he lowers his arms it slows. At last he lets out the raised foot and almost slows to a full stop before he even puts his foot down to break.]

Most of the time. I mean super powers tend to kick physics in the balls a lot.

[At least that's the general impression he's gotten from some grumpy Beast mumbles. Bobby goes quiet to watch David spin though. The fact that he's impressed is obvious on his face and he whistles when David stops.]

That's pretty cool.

Thanks. It isn’t very useful in a lot of non-engineering contexts. But for you it could be relevant. So we can just start with learning to go slow and fast. Or we could stop for now.

[He really is monopolizing Bibby’s Time and he knows he has no right to that.]

[Bobby starts to answer but then there's some people yelling his name. He frowns a moment and glances over his shoulder.]

Looks like we gotta stop for now. Gotta go deal with someone with their undies in a twist...
