I'm free at the moment, but I suppose it would be easier for me to return to my apartment for this. I'll be there in half an hour, provided my brain lets me focus.

[She was pretty sure he wouldn't freak out, and he'd been pretty open about everything he'd been through and could do. So it was time for her to show the same trust.]

[It was just under an hour, but not by too much. And just as promised, Makoto was carrying a small bag of snacks along with a few sodas. She waited nervously for a moment outside of his door before finally reaching out a knocking.

David would be third person to know her secret, which with everything that happened in Deerington was a little surprising.]

Hope I'm not too early.

[He'd been waiting, so David opens the door to Makoto and offers a brief smile.]

You're not. Got here pretty fast. Got things set out in case I wanted to cook. Come on in, get comfortable. Or as comfortable as you can.

[Makoto surrendered the bag of snacks and drinks. Hopefully, he hadn't been worried about what she was going to say, after all the last time she'd confessed something to him. . . well things had been pretty awkward for a while and she still felt herself blush occasionally thinking about it.]

I'll be fine, thanks for having me over I know things are pretty crazy. But that's why I felt like this was important.

[Makoto made her way to the living and took a seat on the couch.]

I've been debating about it for awhile, but I really think you deserve to know.

[David trailed after her, moving to sit in another seat and the second he was down, Hanjo appeared in his lap, and he started to stroke the cat.]

I'm going to guess that you're somehow a superhero. [His smile says he's joking. Because this is how that talk goes back home.

I guess that's right in a way. But I'm really more of a guardian. Do you remember back in October, when you were hurt and surrounded? Sailor Jupiter came in to help.

[Makoto had a feeling he probably remembered, and it would make sense that Makoto had suddenly known he was hurt and wanted some books from the library. And that she had essentially vanished for the month when Jupiter had been the most present.]

It's our responsibility to protect Queen Serenity, as well as the solar system. Mars told me that there are several people that already know our identities, so it's not as much of a secret here, and Sailor Moon and Venus have shared it with a few others as well. But I thought since things keep escalating, I want you to know that you really can call on me for help. Even before Deerington, I've fought monsters and enemies that were really powerful.

[Sailor Jupiter. David just stares for a long moment. He hadn't expected her to actually be that. He listens, and most of the words don't make sense. It's all so strange, but he supposes he should expect it. Here she was, his own hero. Fuck, he'd praised her to her face.

But..]

There's something magical about your powers. Because looking at you now, I can't even imagine how I didn't see it. You look just like her, if a touch younger. But it's like that with Billy too. He uses magic somehow, makes it so people who aren't in on his secret not recognize him, even when he's on TV.

There's a glamor so that the enemy can't find us or attack our friends or family knowingly. And well, Jupiter is older, after awakening as Jupiter I remember all my previous lives. The times that I've lived before, even millennia ago when I was Princess Jupiter.

[But so that he didn't have to just take her word for it, Jupiter pulled out her crystal. The symbol appearing on her forehead as she held it out. Any lingering effects from the glamor would have faded and it would have been pretty obvious.]

That the reason I've always been a bit stronger than most people my age, and why I tend to get a little staticy when I'm sick. And why I accidentally electrocute anyone when I'm hurt, though that didn't happen until I came here.

[Oh. That's all a lot to process. But then he's laughing. A lot. This is so hilarious.]

Wow, you realize you just got that much more like my ex? Like, the whole static and electrocuting thing. I can't even count the number of times Nori shocked me. Though I imagine you have a bit more control than she does.

[Ok, he was laughing. That was a good sign, right? It meant that he wasn't upset or too shocked, or freaking out. When he mentioned that she reminded him of his ex she blushed a little. Well, Makoto had been attracted to him, and if she had been older he might have had two exes with electrical powers. Luckily she had Atsushi, so it wasn't something to worry about.]

Most of the time, the only time I can't really control it is when I get hurt. It's like it's trying to protect me, but is pretty inconvenient when someone is trying to dress a wound and it shocks them.

Well, if you need someone to patch you up when that happens, start with me. I'm experienced with patching up someone who is shocking me. I know how to handle it.

I'll keep that in mind. Usually it's not a problem, but we don't really heal quite as quickly as we normally would.

[She'd found that out after she'd had the experience with the tiger clawing a gash into her side.]

You're taking this a lot better than most people do.

[Really? Was he? David smiled at her, bemused.]

Makoto? I've known a LOT of aliens, magic users, and secret super heroes. Some who started younger than you are now. This is a surprise, but not enough to shake me.

Good, because I really didn't want it to change our friendship. I mean I'm still the same person that I've always been, but that's why I kind of vanished for a bit. And why when things are bad I kind of get really busy. As guardians, we do everything we can to help anyone in trouble.

[She felt really relieved now. And honestly, he had taken the best of anyone she'd spoken to, no questions about why she waited until now, no freaking out about her having been the princess of Jupiter or a ton of questions about aliens or about the others.]

[Why would this change their friendship? But really, she's mostly been spared the questions because the princess of Jupiter really isn't a lot of a problem for him when one of his best friends is an alien Emperor and the brother of the guy he's dating is possibly going to become the guy who created life on Earth back home. Soooo, this isn't so much.]

There is more than one of you here? I'm glad you have a team.

Yes, there's Sailor Moon, Mars, and Venus here as well. There were others too, but they've already gone home.

[Really she kind of missed Ami though and wished that Mercury were here as well. Then the ground could be together again.]

And together we're unstoppable.

Would it... be correct to presume that whatever it is that protected you from my notice protects them as well?

[He hasn't even CONSIDERED, not in the slightest, of thinking of Minako or Usagi or Rei as the other Sailor Soldiers, so clearly it did. He wouldn't even now put the connection to her friends from her world to that. It's good magic, very good for safety.]

Yeah, it protects all of us. Though sometimes we kind of forget and talk about stuff we shouldn't out loud or in public.

[She'd been found out once before because one of their classmates overheard Usagi, Mamoru, and Luna.]
