I mostly did it to avoid arrest. And for the oversight, I'll admit that. But even if anything did happen now, they'd probably turn it into some grand publicity stunt for Fantastic.
[And of course, now David knows about the chip and how to fix it. He's got other friends too, who would step in. That wasn't the case when he first arrived; he'd seen very few potential options other than the guilds.]
Well. If I start up a local chapter of the Sinister Six, you can be in.
[no doubt he has previously complained about how ridiculous he finds that entire business!]
He always reminded me of that Haunted Mansion ride that Disney has. The ghost in the crystal ball? He was an odd one.
[Otto never really had any problems with him - he seemed to be trying to leave the villain life behind, and certainly Otto could sympathize with that. He'd always kept an eye out though. Felt a little responsible for making sure he didn't cause any trouble.]
Well, we'll see what happens. I think I may need to research the Society healthcare options first.
[The delights of being a total wreck. Don't get old, David! Or, you know, electrocuted like ten times and fused to a hunk of metal.]
Well, still. I understand where people are coming from. All the other versions of me I've heard of sound like pieces of work. Maybe in a perfect world we wouldn't judge people based on their alternate selves, but under the circumstances I think it makes sense to be cautious.
[Forgetting the usual alternate-Otto problems - it'd be very unsettling to meet a version of himself, one more like him than Jumpsuit Otto, who had never married.]
I basically owe his son my life. And his young clone. And him for teaching me. It's all a mess. You're easier to balance since I didn't know Doc Oc personally.

23/5/23 01:13 (UTC)[Otto doesn't really consider himself to have an animal theme either, but he knows everybody else does, so he's sort of done fighting it.]
Thank you. That really does mean a lot.
