The way you're acting just makes it seem like Lokis live on gossip about Lokis. No, she just wanted to know what was happening.

He reminds me of the Loki tied to Sephiroth. He seemed... lost. But he'd been through other worlds like this.

More like... wounded by the path of his life.

[Does he need to say that he feels that applies to every Loki he's ever known?]

[ The snorting wheeze that gets conveys much the same sentiment. Nothing about 'wounded by the path of his life' distinguishes any Loki from another. ]

[No, there isn't much in that statement to distinguish them. But when you come to know a Loki, to care about them, maybe you're more likely to care about making sure they have some happiness from time to time.]

I will note that the old one did seem rather baffled to think of a Loki with close friends who cares about them. You're all so hard on yourselves.

Hardly. You, and Tommy if he wants to stick around for it. He doesn't always.

[Relearning friendship hasn't been easy on Tommy he thinks. None of it has been easy for either of them.]

[ That sounds like a terrible line-up, given his recent jaunt in the bedroom with Tommy. What could go wrong? Everything. ]

You can tell him yourself when you show up. Or don't. Worst comes to worst I have food for three and two people in green snub me.

About his hair or the dinner? Technically you're the host, you have to do the inviting. Where's Balthier, why isn't he coming?

About his hair. I can ask my own roommate if he wants to join us for dinner.

[Does he really have to say why Balthier isn't coming?]

There are... rules I observe with Tommy and Balthier for both their sakes. I don't invite Balthier to the apartment much. I'm not going to force the two of them to be around each other, I don't think either of them would be comfortable with it.

[One day they might become friends and then there will go any chance of David not taking proper care of himself he supposed.]

... Wait, what? Aren't you two wildly in love and living out of each other's pockets?

We are in love, we do hang out a lot, but I'm at my apartment quite a bit too. It's not an 'all my time is with Balthier' thing. I do my best to make time for my work, my heroics, and for my friends as well.

[He works hard at having a good work, love, life balance. He's just not as good at the part where he also takes care of himself.]
