[Yeah, new rule, get Billy to ward his home as soon as possible. David, currently at a work table in his lab, looks up and give the man a less than impressed look.]

The last time my form changed this dramatically you insisted on investigating it immediately.

[Don't be like that old man. You look creepy. But clearly this is not going away. He sighs, exasperated.]

And I'm to assume that each time you don't have control over your powers it's the end of the world? Because it's not. And, as you remember, I put the solving of issues into the hands of another. Several anothers. As magic is not my concern. I have more important things to think about.

There are others affected besides myself. For example, you, David Alleyne.

[While he can sense the spell's signature, he's not quite sure what it's done in this case. Honestly, he assumed all it affected was physical appearance and he doesn't notice anything as obvious as his or the other Loki's transformation.]

And I plan on contacting several anothers, as it were, once I figure out how to make sure they won't try to murder me on sight. End of the world things, though, let's circle back to that. Has my elder self told you how spells like this interact with beings of magic?

[David looks half annoyed to have this come up. Doesn't he get it?]

I don't use magic, Loki. I'm not a being that works well with it. While I understand some of it I also know that it is not something fro me. So truly, I could care less about what mess you magic users have gotten yourselves into. As I'm unaffected I rest assured that you'll all get your acts together and fix it.

You're not entirely unaffected, but either way, we're affected more than others are. Which is precisely why I'm speaking with you and not one of us.

Humans have history, if your form changes because of a spell, history remembers that it was not always this way and you remain yourself in your own eyes and the eyes of others. But gods have story, we are shaped into new roles all the time. Stay in one too long and it sticks.

Fortunately for yourself and everyone else, I still consider myself the lovable and incredibly handsome Kid Loki. But unless you help me return to that form, you may soon be dealing with the true God of Evil.

[Really? It's going to be like that? David sighs. He was just busiy trying to make a new form of surveillance bug, no particular reason, and this kid is making his life crisis David's problem. How annoying.]

Have you actually been wise enough to to go take your problem to Stephen and the other Lokis? They are far better with magic. Or Billy.

The depressed Loki's even more depressed and thus useless, the spell reverted him to our Jotun form and he seems to have more issues with it than the rest of us do.

With Stephen and Billy Kaplan, I can't know if or how they've been affected. They also potentially have the same issue my elder self will have...

I thought you would be the least likely to attack me based on my appearance. [And that if he did, he could probably take him.] Still, I'm surprised you believe me so easily. What if I am Loki back from the grave and using the child's good name for my benefit? It wouldn't be the first time I tried that.

[The man is making him tired. David's fingers come up to rub at the bridge of his nose.]

What it comes down to, Loki, is that you're an inept villain. You are always defeated and your plans always foiled. You make a better guide or hero than you do a villain. This is something you need to come to terms with. Hell, I would be a better villain than you. I'd actually do something with the world.

Because I'm not a villain! ... but I would be very good at it if I actually wanted to be one, for the record. I've dabbled. More than you have anyhow.

What would you even do?

[David offers him a smile. See, he knows the first rule of being a villain. So he smiles, charming and kind, and that's just who he is. Someone that can manage that genuine, kind, welcoming smile.]

Come now, one doesn't monologue about their plans.

It doesn't count as monologuing about your plans if it's not real. I'm the expert on that.

[David wonders how much he cares if Loki gets hurt or not. For a moment he considers before speaking.]
