as flattering as it is that i'm being depicted as the dangerous big bad wolf ready to eat her up, our talk is going very well and she seems like an intelligent young woman

Oh, I'm not saying you're the big bad wolf. I just know that Laurie doesn't put up with nonsense. You should have seen the way I got chided for how I treated Josh. But she also ASKED me for clarification first, because she gets we both make things complicated when we're emotional.

Honestly, Laurie was probably always one of the two most sensible on our team.

And she's VERY intelligent.

Like I said, I super fucked up. And I respect that and his need for space. I needed it too, mostly spent the rest of my day with Balthier.

The demon thing. I think I'm done talking about that though. Other than to be relieved that the plan worked you all did well.

And the did texted me after, metaphorical hat in hand. Trying to worm his way out of my anger. I didn't feel it was right, at the time, to lash out at him. Went with 'I'm disappointed in you'. Seemed the best I could do, even if it wouldn't be effective.

You know, I have this absolutely wonderful new single-source coffee that I've been dying to try out. But it seems a waste to drink alone. Don't suppose you'd want to come over and share a cup. You can tell me my fashion sense for the costume I'm putting together here is truly dreadful and I can point out you wear a crown with horns and we can both be content.

[ That was a nice olive branch, he appreciates it. The trouble is, his heart feels like an empty space in his chest and he wants to sit down a lot so he doesn't get breathless from some weird mental exhaustion tied to his blood dripping into that cavity with nowhere to go. ]

Rain? I'm a bit jealous. I could do with a nice rain to listen to while I have this coffee.

Things are lovely with Balthier. He's talented, as ever, at making me more comfortable with being me.

He is. It's nice to have a guy that supports all sides of me. I mean, yeah, Tommy's good for that too most of the time, just as supportive as Balthier with the dresses thing, but Tommy's so far away, and Balthier has the pretty words that are great for confidence boosting.
